Welcome. That would all depend on how much you want to spend.
Welcome to the forums.
Have to agre with Bill here.
im looking to spend no more than 800. mainly because of my wedding in two months. not sure if the little lady would aprove of any more.
Welcome aboard. You'll find some great help on these forums!
For under $800 you could find a pretty good quality camera. I really like the sony handycam I bought back in the spring. Plan on using it for some hunts. Butterflyphoto.com has some great prices on several different cams.
$800 will buy you a nice camera. Don' forget to keep a bit back for a quality tripod with a good ball head, tree arm for your stand, and some way to safely pack it and keep it all together. Forget about digital zoom. Try to find one that has the ability to be manally focussed as well.

You may want to take a look at some of the 3CCD compact cams out there. The resolution is much better than a single CCD.
i found a great deal on a panasonic hand held with 3 ccd and 10x optical zoom with several editing features for $600. i also was wanting to find the small remote cams for a gun or bow with the wireless mics.
