    Default February Photo Assignment

OK, Andrea's idea wins this month with the theme of
"It's the Little Things...". But be ready for "The Shadow Knows" which I'll bet is a theme right around the corner. When posting your photo, please give at least a brief explanation why your photo meets the theme.

After taking sunrises picture that morning, my daughter spotted something little moving in the sand. Turns out to be a tiny sand crab, only about an inch long. She was amazed on how well it blended into the sand around it! Mother natures camo she said!

Digital was set to macro, I don't remember what the shutter and aperture setting were. Exif data is not available.

    "looking for food"
This cardinal looking for food before the snow covers the ground completely is kind of a little thing I guess.

Exif data would not show up for some reason.

Played with the brightness and contrast and brightened the photo up just a bit, and took the contrast and saturation up just a little too to make the red stand out a little.

    Shot with minolta 5D
    no flash
    focal length 210mm
    f /4
    exposure 1/125

It's the little things: Like this little walleye that my buddy Tom is slipping in behind our friend Chad. This was Chad's biggest walleye to date, and Tom had to sneak the little guy in as I snapped the pic.
An early spring, great fishing, and good buddies! All the "little things" you need for an adventure!

"It's the little things that count", like that first view you get on one of those new, snowy, crisp fall mornings. It changes your perspective on the day ahead.

This is a Pic from last night. One of those things you could miss if you weren't looking for it in the first place. Not the best picture quality though.

How about this little one, was pretty windy, and this little chickadee would not stay put for more than a second at a time. Thought this was a black cap, but not supposed to be black caps around here, so it must be a carolina chickadee, dont see them around here much.

Sharpened the shot up just a bit, and pretty well left it alone after that.

I went out coyote hunting yesterday afternoon and noticed that when the down went down the sunset was a nice one. I decided to try to make it back to the camp house for some sunset pictures there but I was about 15 minutes to late for the magical minutes. I sat down down in a glider on the porch and stared into the sinking sun and the clouds. While relaxing and watching some of God's beauty I noticed a spider starting to make his web on the end of the porch. I just love watching them work, and I got to thinking of trying to take a picture of the spider with the sunset as a back drop. By the time I got my gear ready the sun was mostly gone but I did get one that I thought was good.

The spider spinning his web that pound for pound is probably strong than steel. It was very peacefull watching this happen at the end of a gorgeous day. It's the little things....

[b]Here is a picture that shows what I was looking at as the sun sank in the west.[b]

[b]Here is a close up of the little guy doing his work.[b]

Camera used was a Canon with flash.
