The snapshot snipers are about the fastest boards out there, but it is more up to the camera and it's settings when it comes to speed. The LCD makes setup easy. I have tried Pix boards, work great and the BG2, which is almost at the end of it's run. So better get em fast. I have heard good things about the Yeti board also. They all work great, just depends on what you want for bells and whistles.
Have looked at the snapshot sniper boards, and considered them. Like the idea of the lcd screen, wish pix would come up with a similar board.
Really dont know how you can get much faster than a p41 with the pix universal boards. Trigger times are pretty darned fast.
why is the bg2 board run about over? not popular or outdated in tech.? seems to me the snapshot would be my best choice for easy install..
I would agree with others...
The Snapshotsniper Board is about the fastest board out there, next would be the yeti board from trigger standpoint, I have used them all and all do what they claim to do, it comes down to bells and whistles.
The snapshot is nice from the snapshot is nice from the standpoint it will work with any 3 wire hack and can be easilly programmed with triger time and refresh changes rite from the Lcd, Others need a chip change to do this or reprogramming, so that may be a
a consideration.
The lcd is also nice to be able to scroll and see what setpoints are and confirm changes, versus dip settings. again comes down to bells and whistles.
The Snapshotsniper is the fastet trigger baord I have seen, next would be the yeti board for speed. both of these board makers are excellent from a customer service standpoint as well.
The Bg2 is also a great Board, the makers of the Bg2 are deciding to take a break from the homebrew parts arena and supplying boards, they have families and have been doing this for a long time and are taking a well deserved break, will they be back and supply board again, time will tell so if you want one better get them fast, Its a great Board and they offer very nice customer support.
The Pix control board is a Board I have used alot as well and does a fine job, But would say there customer support ranks last when it comes to service, but a good board all around.
Hags and Brian both have regular jobs and just build these boards in their spare time. I'm sure it occupies alot of their time. They are just taking a break from all this. There are plenty of other boards out there, seems to be more all the time. Nothing lasts forever. Did seem like kind of a short run.
