Arggghhh-not good

Think the raccoons smudged my glass, was pretty dirty making for some issues with spots.

This series of pics is pretty self explanatory. Pregnant does ready to soon drop, notice the times, how short a time behind this doe they are. This cannot be good for our deer herd here .

I'd be out there with the rifle waiting for them darn wild dogs. You're right, that won't be too good for the fawns once they're born!

Yep Steve, bad thing is they are only 2 minutes behind this doe which the doe is not in a hurry, had two pics of her as she was coming through.

This trail sees a decent amount of activity, think that is about the closest so far I have gotten pics of dogs behind a deer they were trailing .

Have not physically ever seen those two dogs either, have no clue where they are from.

That must be frustrating for you, and for the wildlife in the area. I think maybe it's time to SSS I understand you've tried every other route.

Thanks for the link there Steve. $100 for a trap though at this point is really not a consideration. Got about 40 feet of square tubing in my shed, wonder if I could fabricate a trap, anyone got any ideas of designs?

I have a havahart to trap nuisance coons that get into my sweetcorn.

The design on that thing is pretty neat. there's a wire arm that's connected to a plate on the bottom of the cage. When the vermin steps on the plate, it releases the arm, and the door slams shut. The door stays shut with a little clip on top of the cage that's gravity fed. To open the door, you lift the clip, and pull the spring loaded door.

I got mine at Dicks, so you might want to go look at one William and try and emulate it with the materials you have. I don't think it would be too much trouble to make your own.

Think I can use hogfence and square steel tubing to build a frame and then it would be a matter of just figuring out the door mechanism and how it would close and latch. I really seriously wonder if animal control here would even pick up the dogs I catch though

A neighbor of mine made his own trap by bending over a piece of hog fence, and then putting on a door and a back and bottom to it. It looked really easy to do if you have hog fence and can bend it :P
