    Default Question about posting pics...

I have noticed that some people post pics and there is no logo like "hosted by Realtree or Hunt101.com" on the bottom. It looks like they just stuck the pic in the thread and there is nothing but the pic there. How do they do this.
It seems when they post a pic, they don't have to upload it to the photohosting site first. I am confused and would like to learn how to do this for small pics. In this link is an example...look at the sights they posted pics of and tell me how its done if you can. Thanks

One way to do it is to use a photo that's already on the web. When you are at a web-based photo that you want to use you can right click on the photo and check properties and the url will be listed there.

swamp--not all photo hosting sites puts the "hosted free by" banner on the pic. I upload a lot of pics to www.photobucket.com

Some websites will allow uploading directly to the post but RT does not have this option.

Some people (like me for instance) have web pages where they pay to have server space for their sites and can upload pics there. I pay $12 a month for my goschkennels.com domain name, 2000 MB of server space, and 25000 mb of bandwith. I can upload just about any file type to my web site and post the pics here. So they do get uploaded to the web but since I pay for the space, there is no little tag on the pics. Free sites use the tag for advertising to draw people back to the free site.

Swampy, when I see something on a web page I want to show off. I just right click on that pic, choose Properties, then just right click and hold the button down to highlight the URL of that pic! Choose copy, then paste it into the IMAGE command block on your post! Works everytime, as long as you have a valid jpg file or gif file!

WooHoo!!! Thanks everyone! Everytime I wanted to post a pic off the internet, I would save it in my photohosting site and then link to it there!!
