    could be genetics but a more common cause of the defect is an injury to the pedicle.

    check out the pic--are you sure it's not the same buck?---the first pic looks like it was printed wrong--look at the time on the pic--it is also printed backwards---kind of like a mirror effect!

    Looks to be an injury! If he is like that next year i would take him outta the herd! If not Let him grow!

    Same deer for sure. Bet it was an injury that occured while the antler was growing.
