    Default Need some help on..

I am looking into getting a video camera to tape some hunts this deer season. I just moved to valdosta, georgia (only a few hours south of where i lived before) for college. ive got about 300 acres to hunt down here on some premium land and deer, and since its going to be different from back home i was thinking about recording some hunts this bow and gun season. anyways i was going to get some opinions on what kind of camera and camera arm or holder i guess to get. im in college though so i cant spend a million dollars on a camera, so i would really appreciate some advice on what to get.

    thanks,

    Jon

Used a sony mini dv handycam here and it worked really well. Used a spotting scope window mount on the rails of my blind and it worked fairly well. Also rigged up a two arm mount from one inch square tubing to use that scope mount in the corner of our box blind and had good results.

There are some good mounts on the market that dont cost a fortune. Think cabelas has some pretty decent ones around $60, and a pretty good one for just under $100.
