    Default ptarmagin

    This is one taken with a regular cam years ago, but since i still don't have a scanner i took a pisture of the picture with my digital. Considering, i think it turned out alright. I should lighten it up a bit though, came out a lot darker than the original.

    That's a great picture! Especially if it's a picture of a picture!
    We don't have those down here, I don't think. Are they a game species? Similar to a quail? Or pheasant?
    I know their summer plumage looks similar to quail.

    we don't have em here either, just a bit too far south. That pic was in the northwest territories. THey are a blast to hunt. THey are a lot like a spruce grouse in taste, the meat is red. They are a bit bigger than ruffed or spruce grouse.

    nope not a stupid question. In the summer they turn a mottled brown kind of colour to blend in.

    Nice pic for sure... Scanners are cheap now, but that worked well enough to show us the pic for sure.
