Trail Cam Comparative Tests Site

A good friend of mine put me on to this site recently. It has just about anything you could possibly think of when considering trail cameras to buy. Flash range test shots, detection zone tests, sample photos, features comparisons, etc. Just thought I'd pass it on so anyone here can easily research trail cams on the market they're considering purchasing.

Pretty cool Al. They give some good comparisons in the comprehensive test results, but they leave out any testing for one of the cams they are selling, the buckeye apollo. Leaf river took second place in the 2006 and 2007 testing.

Recently conducted a test of my own with my leaf river and one of my homebrews, both set to comparable settings on the same tree, really was no comparing.

Really was no comparing Al, but I can pull some pics off the dvd I load them too and post them. Will try to get them up in a little bit.

I had the homebrew set so that it was not on rapid fire mode and the leaf river set to battery saver with quickshot set to 3, the homebrew took over 150 pics while the leaf river took around 50. Should have had the leaf river on fast trigger because it missed several shots that the homebrew got. The homebrew got daytime shots of turkeys that the leaf river never captured, might have been an issue with the height of the cam, the leaf river was above the homebrew.

yup that height thing skewed the results.....better try again

Thought I had saved the pics from the leaf river from that pull, but after looking at the dvd I remembered that I did not save those pics from the leaf river since the yeti cam/homebrew did not miss any pics that the leaf river took. Yep, will have to try it again sometime, but I do have pics loaded from both cams from the same tree, just not any loaded from them there at that same time.

well we will see. I orginally bought the cuddeback capture, but it's backordered til dec 15. So I looked at this test and I splurged on the Reconyx rapid fire convert cam......That thing crushed everything in the tests in terms of field of vision and trigger speed. I get it tomorrow and once I get pics I will let you guys know what I think

Your home brew pic quality looks real good William. Like you said...no comparison.
