    Default Camera Problems-Please Help!!!

Hey guys I have been having problems with my cuddeback cameras and I cant firgure out what could be wrong. I have been putting my Old Cuddeback C300 and my brand new Capture over my feeding stations and I havent been getting any pictures. It will take a picture of me as I am walking away and then occasionally will take a picture or two a few days later of a deer but that is it. When I go back to check them all the food is gone but there is never more than 5 pics on it. The problem cant be the batteries because I check them regularly and charge them/replace them when needed. This is a recent problem that I have been having. I have had these cameras out on these same stations for about a month and at first I was getting good pictures but then all of a sudden I started getting no pictures at all but the food would still be gone. I have made sure the cameras are all pointed in the right direction and my stations are no more than thirty feet from the camera so they are well within range. Short of coughing up the money to send them to cuddeback to take a look at them, I dont know what to do. Any input is welcomed. Thanks.

I am not sure why these guys even posted. They dont have anything useful to say about the topic. very strange. Anyway do you have your camera facing east or west? The sun could be affecting your camera with the trigger. also do you have your camera set on maximum sensitivinty? on the older c300 there is a clip you pull out and move over and the new one is build in the programs setting i think. try these. also be sure youre camera is not pointed to high maybe racoons are eating your bait but are coming in under the camera. Be sure you are not using rechargable batties also. use good quality batteries

Something to consider is the possibility that you may have a bad card. Had an issue with my leaf river and it turned out to be a bad card, it would only take a few pics and the card would be full even though it was not really full.

Another thought is to check and see if the cam gets a shot of you as you approach it to check it each time, if it does not, there may be a problem with your board or sensor, either of which case you will have to send it in to be repaired.

Make sure you do not have it in time lapse mode (if these modles have it). Make sure the sensor has a clen view (wipe off the glass covers to clear dust away that may affect the sensor). Hope this helps.

I have 3 Cuddeback Expert cams and I've never had a problem with them not taking pics unless I made a poor set up selection choice. Neither have any of my friends. I never have put out any feed in front of any of my cameras though to get pics. I'm one of those hunters that just uses what's out there along with mineral licks in the summer months.

It wouldn't surprise me if coons or other critters were getting to whatever you're using if your camera is set to high or too far to pick up smaller animals.

William's got a point about the bad CF card possibility too.

Have you put the camera on test mode and gone back and forth to see if it's picking you up over and over again? Have you checked to see what the maximum distance is for your camera to pick you up using test mode?

Before sending it back you might want to take it home, set it somewhere in the house where you get a lot of traffic and see if it will continue to take pictures or not.

    Just a thought.

Will the cards go bad over time...cause I've been using these cards for a while and they have never given me problems

    They can, reformatting might help.

Would agree with Rhino on testing the cam at home before sending it back. Test it out and see if it is picking up and taking pics like it should.

Like William said, they can. I had one go bad on me about 3 weeks ago. I had 3 go bad on me last year but they were a few years old. I keep one spare card in addition to having 2 cards/camera just in case one goes bad.
