    Default Reconyx Covert RC60.....

Just giving everyone a heads up that I splurged on this camera and man was it worth it! This thing takes pics so fast with no delay and the deer don't have a clue it's there. No red glow. Literally it takes a pic anytime something moves. No joke guys I had literally 200 pics of two bucks in less than 5 minutes!!! Needless to say I've learned to put the delay on there, but I've never seen a camera like this. It also picked up the farmers tractor literally at over 100 yards. I know you might think I'm nuts about 100 yards but I promise it did....I'm not sure if the heat sensor picked up the tractor b/c it was so hot or what, but that's insane...also took 480 pictures and still had 88% battery life left!! If you got some extra cash I highly recommend this camera....

If you've got some extra cash, I highly recommend you buy me one too!

Seriously now, the idea of invisible IR is appealing to me. Suppose it really is invisible to the deer as well? Critter retinas are set up different than ours and I just don't have a clue. All in all the RC60 looks like a pretty slick camera to me.

I have had a Reconyx for almost 2 years now, I think it was their 1st model. it's only a 1.3mp and B&W only but it does wonders as far as camera go. The prices have certainly come down as mine was was $800 bought at Cabelas.
I like the way you can set all the parameters up through your laptop. I have mine set up with a 12V sealed gel type battery and the life on it very long. I charge it about evey 4 months and this thing takes 1000's of pictures. I can vouch for the sensors too, you can set it to be very sensitive.I have had triggers out to at least 70 yards. All in all I have been impressed with them.
Life is good, give God the glory!
