    Cool Day out in the woods

    Yesterday I went out with my uncle, two cousins and one of my uncle's bear hunters, Mike that was up for a visit this weekend from Ohio. Mike brought his electronic predator call up so we could go for a wolf hunt. Right away as soon as we got in the woods we seen a REAL big and fresh track, so we went up on a side hill and called for a half hour or so with no luck. We then headed a couple more miles back, tried another place out with no luck. It was kind of windy that day which is not the best for wolf calling. We took a lunch break, made a fire and chowed down on some bear bologna and sandwiches.


    We were relaxing by the fire after lunch and 4 deer came down the runway 25 yards from us, I managed to get a pic of one after she spotted us...

    The convoy!

    Trapperman decided to set a couple beaver traps while we were in the area.




    It was a bit cold, but a beautiful and fun day out in the bush!
