    Wow...cool...and scary! lol

    A friend, the cook from camp...hates snakes...hates them. If I showed her these pics...or any snake for that matter...this is what would happen to me:

    Find this little guy around Memphis? Not too many timber rattlers around here, but have seen a few over the years. Guess they may call that a canebrake down your way?

    Saw quite a few cottonmouths and one copperhead here the weekend before last.

    Looks like a good reason to do some target practice with the old shotgun to me.

    Its a baby copperhead, haven't found any rattlers at the park here yet, alot of them in Shelby Forest though

    I've always like the colors on the copperheads. But... they do account for the vast majority of bites down here, they like to bite first and ask questions later. Nice pic!

    Yep, kind of threw me a little I guess. Thought at first it was a copperhead, then the markings kind of resembled those of the timber rattler although the colors did not look quite right. Usually even the little copperheads around here the pattern is more triangular.

    They sure do blend in/hide well here.
