Well, I went to the doctors for my 2 month post-op report. He said the surgical areas looked pretty well but I am having difficulties with my bowels, bladder and I am not really eating. My food intake is about 1/3 of what it was before surgery and I am loosing weight.. which is not a BAD thing.. LOL . There are several other things like nausea and such that contribute to me not eating.
The doctors feel it could be a blood clot or swelling or maybe a bone fragment that is causing the trouble. I have to go back to Nashville early next week for blood tests and more spinal imaging. I have been battling depression for a while now, I don’t know if it is just the lack of mobility right now or missing deer season but I will get over it.
I am able to walk without a cane now but the length of my walk is less than 200 feet. After that, my legs are so wobbly I can hardly stand up. I can't stand up for more than 20 - 30 second and the pain returns to my legs so that is part of why he thinks it may be a blood clot pressing on the spine. We are keeping a positive outlook and I always had the mindset that never to get worried about anything you have no control over.
I have been told I will be losing my job of 7.5 years this week. (After working for them for 9 months hurt as bad as I was without taking a day off for it). But was notified I would be given a 1 month extension.. just because.
I don't think I will be well enough to drive from Cookeville to Nashville every day in a month, but who knows. If I do become unemployed over this, I am sure there is something better on the horizon.
So, in the meantime, I am home healing and keeping positive thoughts and reading all your hunting stories and I must tell you it really helps.
Please continue to keep the Sauceman family in your prayers as we need all we can get.
