i have tried to teach myself deer hunting but just can't..gone 5 years in a row by myself and got nothing nor did i see any..im not gonna go this year... gonna take a break and see about next year maybe.. have a disability probelem of learning and figguring things out on my own..maybe someone could shed some light for me????

Look for trails, acorn bearing trees where the deer will feed. Be still and quiet, don't cough, sniff, sneeze or fart. I know folks who have gone for years and not scored. If it was easy, everyone would be killing something. Build yourself a ground blind and get in it. I used to stay in the woods from sun up to sun down and not see anything. Eventually it will pay off. That is what makes it so exciting. If you stay with it, you will score. You must be where the deer are too though.

go to your local archery/gun club. i'll bet you'll find a bunch of willing helpers. or check with the physically challenged bowhunters. www.pcba-inc.org . they have great hunts real cheap to free.

Are you hunting on private or public ground? Are there any types of food sources such as corn, beans, hay or alfalfa? look for corners where the timber meets these fields if you have any...if you have no food sources, you have to locate heavy trails in the timber or along the timber...look for sign such as tracks, beaten paths with tracks, scrapes, rubs etc. Look for areas that will funnel deer from one area to another: tree lines, fence rows, funnels, pinch points (where a tract of timber gets pretty narrow) etc. The more you let us know here about what you are hunting on, the more we might be able to help out.

Definitely go to a local pro shop, and ask around...but whatever you do, don't give up. There is way to much knowledge at your fingertips to give up...

i have tryed asking at the tackle/hunting store in town but no luck yet..with my disability (eplipsey) id be much better off having someone take me/or tag along on one of there hunts.. for awhile till i got hang of it then just be there and guide me later on if i had a question about something...need help from siting my gun in at range to the hunt and field dressing.got a rifled slug barrel still brand new got calls deer drag hardly ever get any use... what i need is a mentor/teacher to make me have a better understanding etc..

Go to the sporting good store and put up a post on the bulliton bord....put the hole story....say I just want a chance to harvest a deer buck or doe dont matter you just NEED HELP...there are enough good people out there that someone whould help you....ALSO try the forums here under Deer hunting and just toss it out there and ask if anyone whould be able to help you....Than contact your local DNR they might have a resource....I cant guess how difficult it must be for you but DONT DONT DONT DONT give up. If hunting was easy everyone whould do it. You try to post in here and also look for a forums for your state, I'm a member of the michigan sportsman forums but you can do this, it should be easy compaired to what you've gone threw with your dissability.

Also just go asking farmers/land owners look for older owner that might not hunt. BE HONEST tell them you are new to hunting but very responsible and take extream caution wile hunting. Tell them you have a dissability but have friend/family who will be standing by if you need help, tell them you will sign a waver if they are worried about hurting your self. Whats the worst thing they can say????NO...ok say thank you and go on your way (DONT GO IN CAMO AND HUNTER ORANGE put on your sunday best to put forth a serious honest impression)....also if they take the time to listen even if it's a NO drop a letter in the mail box a day or so later (with return info) I have put my Name Number and email address on top right of paper and just (HAND WRITE) write a short note thanking them for taking the time to listen to you (keep a note book with you and as SOON as you leave the door and their not looking, or your around the corner write down their first name and last if you got it) and If they ever change their minds to please feel free to call or email you. you will be suprised when a no turns to a yes.

I'll send prayers your way in hopes you are able to find a mentor.

If you dont have an area or find a location use google maps or bing maps to view photos of it and ask the people on here than where they whould go sit. YOU'LL GET IT.
