The soldier that killed the Afghan people

After reading the headlines about the US soldier who shot up
Afghanistan civilians, I couldn’t help noticing an irony. There is
all this clamor to try this guy quickly and execute him, never mind
his having suffered a traumatic brain injury.

Yet this Major Hasan, who shot up Fort Hood while screaming Allahu
akbar, still hasn’t stood trial, and they are still debating whether
he was insane, even with the clear evidence regarding his motive:
slay as many infidels as possible.

So we have a guy in a war zone who cracks, and he must be executed immediately.
But a Muslim psychiatrist who was stateside in a nice safe
office all day murders 13, wounds 29 of our own guys, and they try to
argue the poor lad suffered post-traumatic stress syndrome from
listening to real soldiers who had actual battle experience. Two and
a half years later, they still haven’t even tried him.

    Irony, indeed.

    Incredible, as well

Lot of innocent women and babies killed in airplanes and in buildings here over the holy war that the radicals who are rooted in that part of the world started with us. We did not ask for this war and the costs of war are cruel and certainly not fair.

Given the stress those guys are under, surprised that this kind of thing has not happened before with all that is taking place, I think the soldier deserves a fair hearing in this country. May seem harsh; but when we have our men and women, who have made incredible sacrifices to help these unappreciative people, and our people are being killed over korans being burned and our so called "commander in chief" is apologizing to people who are killing us, guess I can kind see where someone might lose it and take out their anger on what they think was the enemy. Too many of those people over there who look friendly who kill our soldiers.

Heard yesterday our gov't is actually paying family members of those killed $50,000 for each person killed, one guy is supposedly getting a half million, where is the retribution from afghanistan, pakistan, and iraq for the thousands who were killed here by terrorists from those countries.

Far as the fort hood shooter, don't believe for a second he suffered ptsd, he is the enemy and he had deliberate intentions of murdering as many as possible in the name of his religion.

This is a tough subject for me not to sound like a country redneck( which I may actually be), but our so called leaders seem to worry more about taking care of third world countries than our own great nation. The soldier that killed those innocent afghan people should go to trial on our soil not foreign and keep in mind how many "innocent afghan women and children" have turned out to be suicide bombers. I will hold judgment on OUR soldier until he is proven guilty. The terrorist that killed at fort hood, should have been shot on sight! He was not in harms way, no one was trying to kill him, and I'm sorry the whole insane BS just doesn't hold water. Sorry for the rant but we should take more pride in our soldiers and support them and most importantly never apologize to terrorist countries.
On a good not my 9 year old did kill his first hog this weekend!

Cant find anything to disagree with here...seems it's all upside down thinking in the handling of these matters..NO WAY should the U.S. apologize

I think your right ruttinbuck hate these topics but truth be told. It seems like a double standard here being from NY I can say the horrors of 911 will never leave my mind. But again I guess I can understand what your saying

After reading the original post and the replies I realize why I like this forum and the folks on here so much. All has been well said and I can't add much other than my support of the responses.
