    Default Sean \"P. Diddy\" Combs

I just saw a snippet of an interview with him and Bill O'Reilly. Not sure where or when it took place, but I think it was probably a month ago or so.

A lot of hip-hop/rap/R&B artists really have a bad reputation--and deservedly so for many of them.

    P. Diddy has been working to get young people out and vote and has done so much good through raising money for charity, etc. It was refreshing to see that little clip. I'll never buy one of his albums, but he has my respect. It'd be nice if more people in the music industry were socially conscious like that--but not socially ignorant like the Hollywood-types.

But he has also has a "bad rep" like so many other hip hop artists just like him. Granted, he is not as bad as some of the others, at least he is trying to help, and really, since his deal with the gun charge with his bodyguards a few years back, he has kept his nose clean pretty well.

Diddy's music may not be up to par, but he'll do a good job of getting younger folks to vote. As long as he stays in the middle and doesnt favor a certain side, I'm all for it.

He claimed he was an Independent. However, his talk was that of a liberal in that the government should do this and that.

Most of the "get out the vote" drives are liberal-based because the more people that vote tend to vote liberal.

New Mexico is having a voter registration drive that has registered a large number of illegal immigrants. The reason? The court says a person cannot be forced to show ID to vote. Any idea how they will vote?

Agreed. Like so many others in THAT field, he has a bad rep. But he is doing exactly what he wants people to see him doing. I guess it's not that hard to do something every once in a while to draw public attention to make yourself look good and hopefully get them to forget what you represent. But hey, good for him.

Diddy is a great man - he raised over 1 MILLION dollars when he ran the NY marathon.

He is a genius as a business man too.

Saw something about that a while back. Definitely not a fan. Personally I kind of have to question his motives for acting concerned about politics.
