Thread: Your Party

    Default Your Party

Does everyone on here honestly believe that their party/ their candidate is always the best.. It seems to me that more and more people are voting striaght party.. Voting more for the party than actually finding out about a candidate and voting for the person..

Nope. I am a republican but I will vote for the best canidate. Granted I dont agree with many of the views held by Democrats, if they have a good person running for office they will get my vote.

Well, I define "best" as the most conservative. And you're darn right I'm sure that whoever I'm voting for is the most conservative candidate in the race who has a realistic chance of winning.

We have a real problem here this year for our representative to DC! Both of the candidates are as bad as they can get! I don't know what I am going to do and probably won't until I actually vote! Horrible situation!!!

The problem with not voting your party on the national level is this.

If you vote for a wanderfull person who represents your views but is in a different party (either one) that person is going to vote primarily with their party when they get in office. You may have a very few that will vote against the party wishes, but be sure that most will not. If they don't vote with their party, they will not get the support of their party.

This goes for Reps and Dems alike

On the local level I vote for whomever I think would do the job the best. Nationally I vote my party or I don't vote at all.

I vote the person, not the party. I am an independent, but have voted mostly for republican candidates, as they more closely most often represent my views.

I vote straight down my pary lines. I hated Democrats with a passion before this race and not thanks to the big 5 in that party I wouldn't wiz on a single one of them if they were in front of me on fire. Straight up Republican here. I'd actually like to see Rush as a senator or congressman myself.

I wish that everyone would understand this. The elections we are facing now will decide weather the presidents policies move forward. Or we have two years of investigations, stonewalling and getting no where. I don't hate those who have different Opinions than me. But I can't understand why certain public officials express opposition. But have no real ideas of there own how to remedy that which they oppose. I truly pray that God keeps his hand on us and continues to Bless us in spite of ourselves.
