Saddam was found guilty and sentenced to "Death by Hanging!" It is breaking news on Fox...

I was kinda thinking they shoulda thrown all Saddam's methods for killing folks in a hat & pulled one out to use on him. I ain't above "cruel & unusual punishment" for a cruel and unusual guy.

I wonder how the appeals process is in Iraq. If it's anything like here......by the time they get around to offing him.........nobody will remember what he did.

Heard earlier this morning that the execution by hanging should take place sometime in the spring of 2007.

Too bad the statue was melted down and made into commerative coins for the 1st CAV. At least that's the rumor around here.

I was in an Iraqi chow hall when the verdict was put out on TV. There were cheers all around.

Talked to some of the guys who pulled security at the courthouse and they said he cried like a child when he got back to his cell. Guess the stark realization of all the bad stuff he did and the fact that he is going to pay for it is finally setting in.

9 appointed judges will weigh the sentence, testimony, evidence then 30 days later the floor will fall out from under him.

NBC reported last night to expect the hanging to take place some time in February. Heard on the radio in the spring of 07. Dont think it is going to happen this year, but the sooner the better and hopefully they can thwart any attempts that there will be to free him.
