    Default Now Bolton is out

John Bolton was appointed in recess the US - UN ambassador.

He is hard hitting and not about to take crap from the weasels that make up the UN. He successfully pushed until North Korea decided to join the six party talks again and no detonate any more nukes. Sure, China was a big part of that but who do you think was pushing China?

Bush knows that he will not have the votes now that the Senate is changed.

So look for someone to take that spot that will work the subtleties that John Kerry likes. Someone that will join the world in blaming us and our policies first.

Rumsfeld is a jerk and the word is was hated even by the military leaders. No big loss there. But Bolton would have helped a lot with N. Korea and Iran.

Look for the party of appeasement to send someone like John Kerry to negotiate our surrender to the world.

I hope each and every person who pledged their protest votes really enjoys the next 16 years. Dems will use the media to make things look rosey and hide the things that don't and take the momentum into 2008 to get a larger majority in both houses and elect Hillary Clinton. 8 Years of her followed by 8 with the VP and it will probably be 18 years before we get a crack at power again. What damage will be done by then?

Sorry folks, but the party of surrender, failure to protect our country, and high taxes has just taken over. Look for the economy to tank in short form. Even Kennedy understoood that lowering taxes spurs the economy....but Kennedy didn't have a block of voters out there standing with ballod in one hand and an open palm in the other. Kennedy also didn't have the hatred of the rich that we have today. Hatred of the rich is the first step to socialism.

I'm starting to get the feeling New, that your outlook for the future is not very bright. I did however, when I saw the thread title, thought it was a given and he was already packing up his office...oh well, wishful thinking I guess.

I honestly, since I am now an independent, don't really care one way or the other who controls Congress, the Democrats wanted it, lets see what they do with it, but I would have been fine even if the Republicans regained control. But like you said in another thread, the Republicans squandered what credibility they had with the war, spending, and scandals. It's a cycle, now that the Democrats are back in control, if it stays that way for any length of time, you'll be hearing about scandal after scandal. Humans can't handle power and prestige, it goes to their head, and they think they can get away with anything.

The UN New. They have been useless for a long time. Really think honestly that Bolton leaving is pretty insignificant in the big scheme of things.

I disagree.....the UN is most definitely useless and full of America and Israel haters.

But this is a case of keep your friends close and your enemies even closer. By having the UN here and a strong ambassador, we could begrudgingly affect our will.

You watch N. Korea and Iran bloom now that we have shown them we don't have the will to fight.

No my outlook is bleak politically.

It seems to me that most people are going on their way thinking that nothing much will change. Think again.

The party in power is led by someone who said she didn't consider us at war when we had 3,000 bodies in NYC, Washington, and Pennsylvania. We have a party in charge that did everything from letting the terrorists know how we are tracking them (money and wire intercepts).

We have an enemy that was just taught that if they only have a stronger resolve to them and wait long enough, we will tire and back down. We just did.

Give them two years and let's revisit this post.

As for your insinuation, how many kids do you have? I have two kids and I worry what this world will be like with the cataclysmic rise of Islam and the only people willing to combat it just voted out of power. The US Repbublicans are the only group on earth willing to take the fight to them.

Ultimately Bush still is the President New. I think N. Korea in their song and dance is still moving forward as we speak and has been all along. This agreement to return to six party talks is nothing but buying them time. I really think there next test will be a missile with a warhead. I think they have it NOW and are ready, just waiting for the right time to show the world.

As for the UN, it could be usefull, but so long as it is run as it had been it is useless.

Iran, he has a nuke too, but he may not be quite as far along as Ill. Think the UN is in part responible for letting this happen. The world has put too much faith in this organization nad they have let teh world down. I agree with you about Bush and the republican party in general having a stronger grasp with the sense of security for this country. I too am concerned for my children, but what is done is done now and we cannot change that.

Hey WTN, why don't you just give me your phone number and we can save ourselves some typing!

I hope you are right....in my estimation, the best case will be deadlock in both houses and with the President. Only then will spending be in check.

Go get em Bushie! That's a way to do the right thing for a change....much different than his normal wait until the change and depend on the bipartisonship of the democrats! Harry Reid already said there would never be a vote on Bolton....some bipartisan he is eh?

Bolton has done an outstanding job.

Are you sure, your post is pretty old and I see nothing about it on Drudge, FOXNEWS.com, nor anything else. Curious!

Yes New, that is accurate. Fox is and has been reporting that the nomination for Bolton has been given to the senate for the past couple hours.

Nothing like on-time reporting via the web!

This should get interesting, I am just amazed that it didn't make headlines on Drudge.

I saw on CNN that his name had been resubmitted and Joe Biden made the statement the "Bolton nomination is NOT going anywhere"!!

Sounds like the democrats are ready to stop a whole bunch of things!!
