Sure, he is Commander in Chief but if I am mistaken Congress has to declare war and provide the funding for the troops and missions. No funding, no mobilizations.

Unfortunately, the tax cuts won't expire until after the next election cycle. So Hillary will probably be President before the effect of the voting hits people in their personal economy. The back door tax cuts won't probably be noticed by the 'I didn't pay any taxes, I got a REFUND' crowd.

You are right about the funding New, but if they leave our troops high and dry, where will that leave them in the public perspective?

Unfortunately I disagree with you on the taxes and think the next tax year we will see changes, but like you say those who get earned income credits who also benefitted from the tax cuts will likely never notice any difference. Those people always vote democrat anyways. Why wouldnt they, the dems give them the money they take from us rich people like you and me .

We can only THANK the US business's for moving all their operations to CHINA, to help them become more POWERFUL!!! We are FUNDING THEIR CAUSE!!! Another reason to thank the clinton's and every DEM for all their hard work for starting NAFTA!

She may be the only weapon we have against that "I'd vote for hilluuurrrryyy becuze she's a woman" crowd.

I personally like her very much but she isn't running or has said she has zero interest in it.

I fear the Clinton / Obama ticket because it would pull the democratic base, the women 'she's a gurrrrl' voters, and the black vote. Hard to win against that.

My wife thinks I am skeptical and get too upset with politics. Sheeesh, New try to not let this tear you up quite so much. We are all concerned, and should be, but you are so determined in your thoughts that Clinton is going to be the next president.

My opinion is that Obama is going to try to run on his own, well with Oprahs help. I honestly dont think he will run with Clinton, just dont realistically see it happening, but I could be wrong. Hillary has no intentions of being the VP. Dont really think Obama would have an interest in being Hillary's VP, but that would be a more likely scenario if your scenario ends up playing out. This country will elect a woman to the presidency in my lifetime granted I live long enough(I am 37), but I just dont see it being a another Clinton.

Well, I used to not care about politics at all.....I was always very similar to Alex (Michael J. Fox) on Family Ties and had my mind made up early.

What really gets me going is the fact that the other side would sell our country to the terrorists if it meant getting power and keeping it.

Hillary rolled out her healthcare plan again today and said it would be a 'nightmare' for some of us.

Mark my words, I will bet someone a brand new unused broadhead if she doesn't get elected in 2008. P.S. I like Snyper 100's!

If only more people realized the long-term effects of who is in office today. We can argue taxes, social security, etc. but you don't bargain or hang your election hopes around the security of this nation.

We're losing soldiers daily and some (McCain) say it's because they are under-manned. The dems are calling for immediate troop reductions. Where does that leave our troops - even more under-manned. And that's not taking into account reduced funding proposed by the dems. Problem is we haven't built our military up enough to send anymore than we already have and the dems are not going to go for an increased military.

And, our taxes will go up but our economy will go down the one-holer. But, the "under-priveleged" and "entitled" will not feel the effect because we will keep sending our money to keep entitling them.
