Rosie is toastie

My understanding from the news is that Rosie will be leaving the View and will be announcing it today. She is "supposedly" going to start her own show, good luck!

Personally, it sounds like they had enough of her antics. Good for them.

Been hearing a little about this the past few days too, think the fox news site has a story on it if I am not mistaken. Here is a link http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,268281,00.html for anyone who feels compelled to read. Says she will be leaving the view in June.

From what I have heard though it is her own decision to leave, who knows, maybe her decision with some pressure. Either way, too bad she will be going on to her own show, and not going away. Makes no sense to me how anyone can support her crap.

I think her success on the View was because of the View. Large appeal to women who like the other hosts and it does have its own appeal.

I think her show of shrillness will bomb. Time will tell.

She has a core audience of Leftists and professional victims, so she might be able to pull off a show of her own, but she has no place on a show like The View that is presenting itself as a serious attempt at journalism and attempting to appeal to a mainstream audience.

I'm getting so sick of the media--all of it--including Fox News. I haven't watched it for a while and flipped on Greta last night. She had some guest talking about possible replacements.

My questions: Is this news? Does anyone but Rosie's fans evern care?

I don't even know where to get my news anymore. I can't stand the major networks, CNN, (P)MSNBC...and now Fox News is getting just as irritating.

I don't frankly care what Rosie does, what Alec Baldwin says about his daughter (or ANYTHING ELSE for that matter), how many squares Sheryl Crow uses, what Oprah gives away to her audience, what Hugh Grant throws at people (even though it's funny).

I wonder if this is just more evidence of the dumbing down of America. The only thing I can stand is the news on a local radio station, but even they have these ridiculous stories.

New, I'm not ripping you for posting about it--because Rosie is politically active (not sure how she can be with the IQ of a dung beetle) and it's been all over the media. I'm just frustrated with the media all around.

And now The View is proposing Rosanne Barr as a replacement for Rosie?

What are they thinking? Isn't there at least ONE sane, articulate, and thoughtful woman somewhere in this country who would be interested in the job? Even if they prefer a liberal, why do they think they need another nut case?

I was thinking that Cathy Bates would be a pretty good choice....of course, I don't know her politics. Cancelling the show would be the best....except we wouldn't get to see Elizabeth any longer.....okay keep it on.

I KNOW! Wow, she is just adorable and smart and pleasant and beautiful! She spoke at the National Convention, I think it was.
