Default Who cries on the floor of the House????

So we make a remark about Bush being a deathmonger, insult the families of those who are serving or have made the ultimate sacrifice, and do so in such a manner that is revolting and highly unbecoming of our members of government, get called to the carpet, apologize, receive praise, then stand in the corner crying like a 2 year old. WHO PUTS THESE PEOPLE IN OFFICE?????? What happened to strength in government? Cry on your own time whimpy.

To me it says: "OK, I have spent my entire career playing the politician to keep my job, now when I have to make a serious decision about something, I cave and run to the corner and cry like a little baby." I am sure our troops on the ground are proud of the people in charge and their petty bickering, and when they don't get what they want, they lash out like a spoiled child and cry in the corner. Outwitcha!

i looked at it as just a ploy, for him to apologize and turn sympathy in his direction. most of the dems, seeing how america has turned on their liberal ways and anti war b.s., are trying to regain favor. best of luck to them. most smart folks will see the wimp for what he is

He shouldn't have said what he said and should have apologised and took his punishment like a man.

He must be like those "other" band directors. (see signature)

Asked to reprimand Stark, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi last week called the comments "inappropriate" and distracting from the the subject at hand.
That is about the only thing in this article that really surprises me at all, however I did not read where it went past her calling his comments inappropriate.

Who knows what was really going on with this guy and why the scene. If it is genuine, I can understand, if it is politically motivated drama, it really would not surprise me.

His remarks were way out of line, he should lose his job over it.

What's really bad is that, in my not so humble opinion, he was expressing his TRUE feeling when he made that statement. And those same sentiments are, unfortunately, held by almost all of the Democrat majority in Congress. And if HRC weasels her way into the Whitehouse next year, you really better watch out!

Exactly....people are people and most are even humans . Most make mistakes and often have to eat crow and apologize. But to really guage his true feelings, look at his past:

Here are a few things he said in the past:
    * He called Health and Human Services Secretary Louis Sullivan a "disgrace to his race."
    * He called a fellow congressman a "little wimp" and a "fruitcake."
    * He once made a reference to Congressman J.C. Watts as being "born out of wedlock."
    * He called former Congresswoman Nancy Johnson, a Republican, a "***** for the insurance
industry," saying that here knowledge of health care came from "pillow talk."
    * Called the director of the California state welfare program a "baby killer."

He didn't apologize on his own...he was made to apologize by Nancy Pelosi who condemned the remarks so that it didn't hurt the party.

I am sick of them all....democrat and republican alike. They are all liars and thieves and out for themselves and those who provide the highest campaign contributions.

First off, I'd just like to know who actually wrote that article, because the grammar in it is middle school quality...does Fox News not have editors?

Secondly, regardless of anyone's position on the war whether in the HoR of the Senate, comments like that should not be tolerated from either side. There is a way to voice your opinion in Congress without being just outright stupid and nasty. He obviously didn't take any etiquette classes and any Speaker or leader of Congress would condemnd what he said.

As for the crying, I don't think he is sorry for what he said, I just think he was embarrased by being reprimanded in front of his colleagues and it basically being shown on national TV by way of C-SPAN.

I don't think it matters the news agency, they all have terrible editors. I see tickers on DNN all the time mispelled.

usualy get in trouble over here but I can't resist!!
Most of the democratic leadership remind me of my 6 year old. They realy don't have a true direction, or rather a true focal point on where they stand on issues. The wishy washy left tends to go where ever they see it bennefitting them the most at any given time, just like my daughter, when she is in the wrong she is reprimanded, and then she cries a little to get attention and to hear that I still love her. I don't think I need to give examples, however this episode of throwing a tantrem and then realizing the gravity of his comments, only lends to my belief that these idiots are out there saying and doing whatever they think will get them ahead at the moment, with no real thought for their future or ours. Leadership starts at home and unfortuneately I am not sure that the majority of the leftists in the world today had parents that actualy showed them right from wrong to begin with. As bad as I feel for them, it's time the R's stood up and showed the world some real leadership! just MHO hope I didn't cross any lines!!
