Sorry, same message from the same hollywood elite. He can talk candor and character all he wants (John McCain has all of those traits also) but that's not what I am worried about. What I am worried about is what Barack Obama will instill into this nation as policy, along with all of his other liberal elites. It is possible to have the aforementioned personal traits and make the wrong decisions. Which I feel he will do.

I certainly hope this nation will wake up and quit basing decisions on what Hollywood says as a last hope.

Looked to be a lot of cuts in that clip, wonder what was cut out?

Hanks is a good actor, and I like most of his work, but that is not reason enough to follow his opinion when voting. Think unfortunately that is where some people are missing it or just don't get it and following the hype or what they think is popular for all the wrong reasons which is just not a very good idea. Don't vote for someone just because some celebrity says they think that one is better than the other, especially as is with this case where he did not give any specific reasons as to why he believes the one is better than the other. Guess if you want to let an actor decide for you who to vote for you may want to take a listen to John Voight or Fred Thompson, or better yet who do you think Charlton Heston would be supporting if he was still alive. What really gives Hanks opinion any more merit?

Kind of off topic, but has Hanks had a stroke. Sure looked like his right eye was a bit droopy.

If you're in Hollywood and support a Republican, or espouse Conservatism, you don't work. Pretty simple really.
Off the Porch and lovin' it...

"The budget should be balanced, the Treasury should be refilled, public debt should be reduced, the arrogance of officialdom should be tempered and controlled, and the assistance to foreign lands should be curtailed lest Rome become bankrupt. People must again learn to work, instead of living on public assistance."

Naw, his eye got busted when him and Wilson were playin catch on the island, they cut that scene out.......it's not every day a guy gets whipped by a volley ball.

Back on topic.......I'm sorry but if Hanks is wanting to help Osama, I mean Obama out, he's gonna have to do a lot better than that.

    I'm still voting for McCain.

look, all of our "stars" in hollywood are good at reading lines and acting. they aren't qualified to actually write the lines, just read them and act them out. so, they are no more qualified than anyone else to back anyone or anything. yet, they have the same rights as you and i do to speak their mind. so, take all this with a grain of salt. election day will say it all....

I agree with what you guys are saying, i just feel like Tom H describing how he feels about the upcoming election is how I feel also. If he didnt write what he is talking about, whoever did knew exactly why I am voting the way I am. I just thought I would throw that in there.....
