292 killed (murdered) in Chicago
221 killed in Iraq

State pension fund - $44 Billion in debt, worst in the country.
Cook County ( Chicago ) sales tax - 10.25% highest in country. (Look it up).
Chicago school system - rated one of the worst in the country.
Of course, they're all blaming each other. They
can't blame Republicans because there aren't any.
This is the political culture that Obama comes from in Illinois . And he's going to '"fix" Washington politics for us?

Me, Me, Me, I, I, I, seem to be what our elected officials are all about. It's no wonder they want to take our guns away. Their agenda is a lot easier without an armed population.

Just as an interesting side note - Texas is projected to have a several billion dollar budget surplus this year. And Texas has exactly zero democrats elected to statewide office. Plus, both houses of the state legislature have been heavily republican for many years. Coincidence?

Don't say that too loud - they'll figure a way to take it away and spread the wealth to states that are in deficit - blue states.

292 murders in 6 months in one city?!

I just checked our stats for 2007, 594 murders in all of Canada in one year! That is crazy. Glad I don't live in Chicago (no offense to anyone that does on these forums, don't think there's any though).

well, you sure did, jim. and they got what they wished for. in 3 years all we need to ask ourselves is "are you better off now than in the bush years". the dems control the presidency, the house and the senate. but they will still blame bush even 3 years from now.
