I'm thinking I wouldn't want to be in the security business today.

Other than that, we as Sportsmen and gun owners have a long road ahead of us. I could beat a dead horse here, but right now, I don't have the energy. Just spent the weekend in New York City for my anniversary and I swear Obama was on everything.

I just hope he has the guts to keep us safe so we are free to argue amongst ourselves (as Americans) the direction this country should be headed. If we don't have security, then no matter what we argue about or accomplish, it will always be in severe jeopardy.

I'm pretty much on the same page too. After 4 years, Bush will be the blame for any of Obama's failures so the double standards are already set.

Here is my one thought. The cost of the inaugaration. Seems like I heard that Bush's second cost $40 million. This was lower that his first, due to the cost of the war. Obama's is in the neighborhood of $150 million if I here right. Now what the heck kinda sense does THAT make?

today starts a clean slate with obama. i'll see what he does, and judge it from there. i'll wait until after to applaud or criticize. that said, i'm expecting some bad times and fights ahead but am up for the challenge. i think all our "sportsman for obama" people on here will be in hiding in the next year or 2. all i have is "hope". but i do think the gun barrel is pointed at the bottom of the boat.

See my latest blog for my thoughts.

Well, it's a historic moment. It should be interesting at the very least. Unfortunately, no one will be able to live up to this level of hype and I hope he doesn't get too caught up in trying to live up to it that he makes poor decisions.

It's going to take a long time to turn the ship around and only sound thinking will do it.

Sounds like the type of thing to expect to hear from the media Eric. The Obama campaign has led an awful lot of people to believe in "change" without fully explaining what all the change would entail. Afraid a lot of people if they open their eyes will be very let down.

At this point he's proven NOTHING...he'll get no criticism or praise.
It's been an overwhelming feeling that "What he needs right now is Prayer".

As far as how bad he's got it to start with
Tired of hearing the excuses flow towards the previous administration. Quit blaming and setting up the excuses for this new presidents future failures on Bush.
"It was so bad to begin with theres no way Obama could have succeeded"....
He has not made any failures yet so dont bother making the excuses.

I'll pray for him, his success, and his safety.
Because in my opinion thats my personal responsibility to support my president.

I'm having a hard time with all of this

I know to pray for him (and i will) but i know what he wants to do and that scares me.

People are so concerned about prosperity and things that they loose sight of whats truly important GOD - COUNTRY

I heard the new president, swear to uphold the constitution... now, I hope he remembers the 2nd amendment.
You will learn more from your failures... than from your success.

    Too early to tell.

I'll go into it with an open mind, but most, if not all, democrats let me down.

I like my money, and I know how to spend it. I'm not one for spreading the wealth. I wasn't born with a silver spoon in my mouth, I worked my way up, and put myself through college through the graduate level. I had the same opportunities everyone else has in America; if I can do it, anyone can.
Don't cry because it's over, smile because you were there.
