A Little Perspective on the Federal Budget
On the campaign trail, President Obama repeatedly criticized President Bush for adding $2.9 trillion to the national debt over his eight years in office.
One small problem. Under President Obama's own budget, the national debt will increase by $3.2 trillion in just one year!
And to really put these numbers into perspective, imagine this:
If you wanted to spend the $3.9 trillion in the Obama budget, but could "only" spend $1 million a day, it would take you more than 10,800 years.

Off the Porch and lovin' it...
"The budget should be balanced, the Treasury should be refilled, public debt should be reduced, the arrogance of officialdom should be tempered and controlled, and the assistance to foreign lands should be curtailed lest Rome become bankrupt. People must again learn to work, instead of living on public assistance."
- Marcus Tullius Cicero - 55 BC
