There has been a lot of media attention in the news out of Memphis to a Tennessee senator of late in regards to his personal affairs. Ford a democrat, has an illegitimate kid with a woman, not his wife, and recently his child support rate was increased to $1900 a month. While his child support may not be anyones business, the media does have freedom to cover stories as they always have regardless of a persons color. The media coverage in my opinion of this has not been in any way any more than you would expect to see with anyone else in the local, state, or national levels of government, but Ford blames the "white media" for covering his dirty laundry and bringing negative attention to him because of his race. Ford is a very light complected minority. Here is the story ford

Doesn't he know by now that everyone in the public eye is up for scrutiny by the media ?
Playing a race card, is way out of line IMO.

he's a politician who doesn't want media coverage? if it were something positive, he'd be calling for a press conference. are there no black journalists out there. or is it truely a "white media"?

Funny, when I turn my telvision on the memphis news, the media is kind of about split in terms of the races of reporters. There are probably just as many black field reporters in the memphis area as there are white. "white media" right

It's kinda mixed over here, each station in my area has at least 2 black reporters it seems. I bet there are a lot more that work behind the scenes though and never get in front of the camera.

This idiot has gone to the NAACP claiming that the media is being racist and basically my take is that he is saying that they are harassing him and airing his dirty laundry only because he is not white. Pretty crazy really, think one of the reporters covering the story on the news the other night was black.
