I got dealt the "race card" at my work....he lost that one too

I work with some half wits....that really get heated up about sports, politics, etc..etc... Well, a guy I work with, who is either half black, and cuban or whatever, it doesn't matter to me, as long as you are nice to me, Im nice to you...I dont care what color you are. Im a tried and true Republican, hunter, and gun owner. period., everyone that knows me, knows this. Well, the loud mouth co worker was ranting because my team Chicago Bears won against his Steelers., and I told him that Im glad I didn't bet him, like he has bet and lost against a friend of mine., well, he ranted he will beat any future bets against me. I concluded the conversation that I lost money against the presidency bet, and was surprised on the winner. He SCREAMED SO ALL COULD HEAR....thats because your a RACIST...and repeated his statement screaming obscenities at me., I told him in great detail, I could give a crap less about Obama's color, Im a republican,and voted such., Here it came again....your a racist., so needless to say, anytime this idiot is losing any type of discussion, he pulls the race card on us., well, I stood up for myself, went and explained in full detail the rants of this moron, my supervisor, who is usually low key, not agitated by anything, interviewed all the ones in the break room, three hispanics, four black guys, and two white guys....and ALL of them took MY side. Later in the evening, the moron had to say he was deeply sorry to me, or lose his job., he was also told that since everyone in the break room signed statements against him, it would be on file, and he should never attempt to pull the race card again. Funny how things turn out, when you do the right thing, and dont yell back. al

We have to stop letting that tactic work for them because they are just dead WRONG on almost every single argument and just don't have FACTS to back them up so they resort to name calling and false allegations and we just back down. you did good, al. way to go. the race card is really all these obama fanatics have left. obama is the racist. he claims he's black, when it's clear he's 50% white. that's a true racist for you. now tiger woods, on the other hand, constantly corrects all the news media when they call him black. he says he's half white and don't call me black. too bad obama is so proud of the black side that left him and never supported him while disavowing the white side who loved him, raised him, and cared for him. what a shame.

Sounds like a good ending to me Al. You obviously did good handling things the way you did. Shows that being reserved but persistent and handling things the right way can pay off, with that situation as you explained it I probably would have had a hard time if it had been be me with biting my tongue and not saying what I had on my mind at that very point in time.

Ya gotta love the misinformed who love the race card. Good job on not yelling back. My GrandFather who is Blackfeet Indian taught me that yelling is a sign of fear. I was called a racist by a client who wanted to buy goats. I was willing to sell them all the weathers (casterated) bucks they wanted. He and his wife wanted a Billy for some cermoney. I told them the only Billy's that I got are my breeders. They did not understand and called me racist against Middle Easterners. Please leave, I will eat my own goats. They still persisted for me to sell them a breeder Billy so I gave them a price of $10,000.00 that sent them into orbit. Now they ask if I charge white people that price, Yep and have a nice day. Funny thing about the race card. When it's true it's very effective and should be. When it's not, and obviously not, it makes the puller of the card look like an idiot, if not racisnt themselves, and will more than likely be ignored the next time.

I got the same "lecture" from the president of the USF Campus Democrats (I was the president of the USF CRs last year) saying that the reason I don't agree with his policies and morals is because I'm rascist, am a bigot and close-minded. What can you do, there's no arguing with a woman. I told her that when she started looking at things from a Christian worldview, as she claims she does, then she'll see where I'm coming from. It's funny and interesting when you are discouraged from thinking with a Christian worldview...by professors at a Christian university. I had to call a couple of my professors on the carpet on numerous occasions last year.
