Illegal alien drivers licenses

i just seen on the news where the state of Iowa was apparently taken to court for not granting illegal aliens drivers licenses.Apparently they thought it was a violation of thier constitutional rights

Ummmm, your in the country illegaly, you have no rights.How is it these guys can even walk into a government building and apply for these things without being deported on the spot?Scary part is they said theres 10 states that will actually grant illegals a drivers license with no social security # required.You gotta love it

It's hard to believe eh. I remember a time, not too long ago, that illegal aliens hid from any government employees.
Does this mean that the word "illegal" has a new meaning

I think I have a solution to the problem. Give them a free one way return flight home, plane doesn't land, they get thrown out the door with no parachute. End of problem. Now that would be tax dollars well spent!

Yep, get them all out! I don't care how many times they come up with the argument that nobody else wants those jobs...if you get desperate enough, you will take a job like that. And, if the employers would raise the rate of pay up where it should be, they will find good workers here in the good ol' U.S.

What kind of logic is that? Companies aren't in business for the employees, they are in business for the consumer. To provide a product at a value that the consumer will pay. Raising the rate of pay will do nothing but raise the price of the service causing the consumer to look elsewhere for the product and drive the company out of business causing even more unemployment. Is that what the goal is?

The reason immigrants are getting the jobs is because the American workforce has decided they deserve more and more and the American consumer insists on stable , competetive pricing. The immigrant WILL work for what the fair wage for the job is and make a better living than they would at home (and in many cases work harder, take less breaks and do a much better job).

This situation was caused by welfare. Poor Americans used to do these jobs but they discovered they can get paid a monthly check to sit at home and suckle off the government teat. So why work in orchards, labor industries and janitorial services if you can do almost as well for yourself if you can watch Judge Joe Brown for a living? Eliminate welfare and you'll have people fighting for their jobs and doing an honest day's work and the rest will die off and be less of a burden on society.

These corporations being in business for the consumer is a farce. They are in it for the money. Ask all of those who have lost their good paying jobs to their greed. These same employees are also consumers.

It's all about the citizen, the average working class Joe...raising the rate of living for ourselves to where we can't afford to live. It is not about how much we make, it is about how much we can afford to spend. The more Americans make pre hour/year raises the cost of their living...

WHat I am trying to say is: If I make $30K a year for a few years.. I have adjusted my spending to consume that $30K in a year...new car, new TV, new whatever...If say in another year, I get a new job and I make like $50K, I will adjust my lifestyle to eat up that $50K.. I will not put anything in the bank, I will spend more and consume more to where I am living from check to check to pay for all the new stuff I got when I made more money. So, no matter what amount you make it will never be enough because you will always adjust your spending to what you make and go over a percentage to where you live from check to check.. This may not be true for Gates type of wealth, but the average worker, it is...

They use illegals because they'll work for lower wages. But, you seem to be suggesting forcing the corporations to pay more which only has 2 possible results. 1. Raise prices, putting them out of business, causing unemployment to rise. 2. Reducing the number of jobs they provide, decreasing productivity and causing unemployment to rise.

While we're talking about job outsourcing, lets just concede and bring back all those low paying jobs sewing Nike and Levis jeans together. Just to be fair, get rid of all the $20 an hour jobs at Toyota, Nokia and Sony and all the other foreign based corporations that have operations here. I'm sure all those people wouldn't mind going from $20/hour down to $7/hour.. And let's not stop raping the working man by cutting his pay to 1/3 what it was, let's go ahead and raise the price of those Nikes and Levis because they cost that much more to make here and raise the price on those affordable Toyotas to cover shipping them over here on a boat. Let's make sure nothing is affordable so that only those greedy corporate heads can afford them. Rather than having menial, low paying jobs elsewhere where the workers will work for lower wages, let's bring them all here and ship out the high tech, well paying jobs so that everybody will feel warm and fuzzy about having "American" jobs in America.

Yes sir, my mind is made up. It is made up everday when crooks with a pen writes in laws to keep taking cash out of my pocket everytime they need an adjustment to keep their cush jobs. Its made up everyday when I talk to my brother on the phone and he tells me he can't find a job for more than $10 an hour, but has to pay $1500+ a month to keep his house. Do the math.
