    Default Dehydrator

I recently ordered an "Excalibur" 9 tray dehydrator online and should be receiving it in a few days. I did alot of research prior to ordering it, and the product reviews I read gave it a good rating, but I was just wondering if any of you own/use one and if so how satisfied you are with it. The product reviews claim that you don't have to roate the trays at all, have you found this to be true? I intend on using it to make venison jerky. Also, any tips you might have for using this dehydrator would be appreciated. thanks.

I just finished my first batch of venison jerky with it and it works absolutely fantastic. I wish I had bought one a long time ago. I didn't have to rotate any trays or change their stacking position,,, I just loaded up the 9 trays, put them into the dehydrator, turned it on and set it to the correct temperature and that was it. All the meat dried at the same rate and the entire batch was done at the same time. The other thing that impressed me was how fast the process was compared to my old dehydrator. In my old dehydrator this batch of jerky would've taken around 12-16 hours depending on the humidity. With this machine the entire batch was done in 5 hours.
