Default Processing and Seasonings for deer meat

I was just curious how many hunters out there process thier own deer and what kind of Seasonings that you guys use? My Dad and I process our own deer and try all kinds of seasonings and I was wondering what kinds of seasonings you guys use? Please give me some new recipes and where you can get them. (address from where you got it)
Thanks guys and I'm geared up for second gun season here in Illinois.
    Good Luck to all

I do my own almost all of the time. A few times I have connected early in the season and with my 12 hour rotating work schedule, it was much easier to just let the processor do it. I'd rather do mine though, I know exactly what cuts I like and I de-bone it all. I like to just experiment with all sorts or spices, some cajun, garlic powder-no salt, it dries it out, pepper from my pepper mill....just whatever. Not a whole lot, I let some of the natural flavor come out too.

I process my own and I buy my spice kits from a place called Louie's Finer Meats in Cumberland WI.

    Heres there Addy.... Louie's

I have been very pleased with the kits....And if you have any questions feel free to call ...I have talked to Louie Jr. a few times he was very helpful..

    Good Luck... Keep us posted

I've tried a lot of different seasonings. I, too, like it without, but when I want to season venison I have found that I like marinating the meat overnight in Zesty Italian Dressing the best. Adds all the spices and the oil helps to keep the meat from drying out during cooking.

I process my own. There are a couple very popular books out right now that use slow cookers. I believe one is called "Slow cooker recipes for entertaining". It is EASY and any recipe can be used if you substitute the beef with venison. No dead cow in my house!!!!!!!
