    Talking Mule Deer Hunt

    I Am Going On A Outfitter Hunt For Mulies Out West. I Got A Browning Blr Lever Action Rifle 270 Cal. For This Purpose. Do You Think This Rifle Will Be O.k. Hunting Out West Big Game. Also Would It Be O.k. For Elk. If So What Kind Of Ammo Would You Use. Also Would A Regular 270 Or Wsm Be Better.

    a 270 is great for mule deer, and i find it just right for elk. some do find it a bit small. i use a bonded bullet, and am partial to barnes. get a good bullet, and hit the animal in the breadbasket, and it will die. simple as that.

    I agree 100% I have a 270. and a 280. both work well!
