If you're serious about pursuing a career with Realtree or any similar organization, you should keep in mind the type of image they want to project. Since most pro staffers also write articles or columns for outdoor publications, a good starting point might be to improve your spelling, grammar and punctuation.

Takes a lot more then wanting to hunt to be a pro staffer ... a lot more ... I think you should start by searching these forums for ways to get started being a Realtree pro staffer lol ... that should keep you buy for about the next 3 years.

After that you should probably contact the Realtree office since they don't check in here to often for ppl to fill job openings ... and since the pro staffers don't have anything to do with the hiring I doubt you will get very far in these forums. What you will get in these forums is the same kinda ppl who like the outdoors as much as you and like to share information with everyone.

    Good luck with your journey

if you read the bio's on most pro staffers, they have a specialty that they are pretty much tops in their field at. then, there has to be a luck v/s timing factor, and a need for realtree. realtree is a business, and as such, they need folks who can help them advance their top dollar line. if/when you can do that, or help do that, they may be interested. keep at it, work hard, and good luck.

Also I know some staff havent ever been on a hunt with them as well. Ive been lucky to have hunted ,filmed with them. good luck with your venture

That's nice but just being a pro staffer will not pay the bills. Most people like Tim have real families and real jobs, just like you and me.

A good banning is like a public hangin'... everyone wants there to be one, as long as its someone else.

You can have a local taxidermist mount it for you ... or you can ship the rack and frozen cape overnight to your house ... a lot of times I think they just have local guys do it and ship the mount. Its probably what I would do since they know what the animal you are hunting in that area looks like or is suppose to look like.

There is a lot more to it than just loving to hunt. You have to consider your on camera and off camera image, the amount of time you have to invest in and out of the woods. That includes going to shows, seminars, fundraisers and things like that. You have to be kind and willing to listen to a lot of people talking to you about hunting, asking your advice, and also you will have to hear people bash you about anything just because they are jealous that you are a pro-staff member. You need to have some tuff skin. Best of luck on your journey....just keep working hard and you will do fine.
