Yep, safety first. We've had a forum member or two take a fall in the past, and we don't need any more of that!

And good luck to y'all this season.

Thanks...I'm headed out this afternoon wearing my HSS vest...as usual

Appreciate you stopping by here on the forums...One of my favorite hunts of all time is that bruiser your husband took with the muzzleloader with you filming. Loved hearing him laugh and watching him fall over doing that
I'm still very grateful for the video that your husband made showing me how to setup my Muzzy Zero Effect arrow rest.

Thanks for the responses...When Jesse & I were getting our show ready for this season, we considered changing the name to something more "hunting-like". We were afraid that people would by-pass it in the guide section thinking that it was some infomercial. After thinking of the close friends that we know who have fallen from their stands over the last several years and because of our wonderful relationship with the folks over at HSS, we decided to leave it.

We are not going to promote any products here, but remember that just wearing a harness is not enough. Of course, it's better than not wearing one, but several of the guys we know actually had one on...they fell before they hooked it to the tree. Several companies have the lifeline ropes that you hang when you set your stand (using a belt while hanging the stand), so you can stay attached from the time you leave the ground until you return. Sometimes it takes a few extra minutes, sometimes you have a lot of stuff to carry up the tree like camera equipment, etc. and you may not want to "go through the trouble". I'd be willing to bet that if you asked any of these guys who have life-long injuries, (if they survived), they would tell you that they wish they'd taken the extra time.

I apologize for harping, but we need to take care of each other and we love all of our bowhunting brothers and sisters.
We are on our way to Illinois next week to hunt near where Jesse killed the 198" buck with his muzzleloader. Maybe it's my turn this time.

    God bless and Be Safe,
    Ginger
