Rifle that is. Have that itch for one more! I know, after that there'll be another one I want, and another, and another. Got my dad's blood in me. I've got a pretty broad range of calibers already; .220 Swift, .25-06 and .300 WSM. The one that's catching my eye and making me drool the more I research it is the 7mm STW. This beast looks like a wicked caliber, flat, fast, lots of hitting power. Looks like a fine moose gun, even deer, and varmint exploder. Looks like one heck of a powder eating machine! Not that I'd care, I reload and love the big guns, so what the heck? The rifle I was thinking of is the Remington 700 Sendero, I've always liked the 700s. I think finding one in this caliber or any gun for that matter will be a challenge. Definitely not going to happen this year. Hopefully sometime next year.

The 7-STW is all that and fries. I have one in an accurized Model 70 Classic Stainless. It is an awesome long-range unit. Recoil is on par with the .300 Magnums'. Powder eating ability is pretty healthy. Figure on only 80 or 90 loads per pound of powder. But, like most other things in life..................the most fun stuff is usually never the cheapest to buy or operate.

I say "go for it". Buy the brass and dies at the same time. Get some Federal 215M primers and a couple pounds of IMR-7828 while you're there.
