wsm action size...reciever same as short?

i have a m70 win classic stainless in 270 wsm....i want to put a new hs precision aluminum bedded stock.....they only list two sizes long and short action...does anybody know for sure if the wsm reciever is the same diameter and length as the standard short action?

I am almost certain it is on a short action. Winchester lists the WSM guns with a 3/4" less length than standard or long action chamberings. Another hint is there would be no benefit of making a WSM on a long action where the standard length magnum cartridges are available.

yeah i'm know its not on a long action...i was thinking about the wsm having the same bolt diameter as a magnum cartridge..hence maybe the actual diameter of the reciever might be slightly larger...
