BAR, .30/06, 150 Ballistic Tip, HELP !!

Switching from factory 180 Core-Lokt, to 150 BT.

Tried IMR 4350, and IMR 4064, working up and down with each. 4 to 6 inch groups with all combinations.

Suggestions?

Try some Hornady Interbonds!

I use the Hornady, 165 grain, Interbonds and 57.0 grains of IMR 4350 and it works great in my Savage. Best 3 shot group I got was just under 1/2" at 100 yards and that was with the bullet seated .050" from the lands.

I have not tried the 150 grain bullets in my '06. I use them in my 308.

How does the gun shoot factory ammo?
Have you reloaded for it or any other .30-06 in the past?

You may be getting excessive bullet runout due to bad dies or have a bad setup.

Have you gotten good performance with 150 gr bullets in this gun before? Possibly it does not like 150 BTs.
