Default Charles Daly Mauser actions??

I see that I can get a Left hand standard Charles Daly Mauser action . I am thinking about having a 35 Whelen made with a 22" barrel. I'll Most likely get a synthetic stock made for it by Mark Basner seeing as it would be almost impossible to find a stock, LH model around. Or I may go wood & make it myself. This brings me to my question. Does anyone have experience with these Yugo made actions? What are the pros & cons of them?

I can get the actions at dealer cost through a friend of mine. He would be doing the barrel & putting the entire thing together for me. I am getting a heck of a deal.........but I want to make sure there is nothing wrong with these actions that I should know about. Shooting Left Handed really limits my options for an affordable mauser action . This is the best deal I have seen.

Default Re: Charles Daly Mauser actions??

The latest CD commercial Mauser actions used to be imported by Interarms and they were called the Mark X. I have a couple of them and have no complaints about them. I thought about buying a few of the CD actions to stash away for future builds. They are good quality, strong, 98 Mauser actions. As for the choices of stocks, you may be suprised at the availability and selection. Boyd has left handed laminated wood or walnut stocks, McMillan offers a synthetic stock for the Mark X and may do it in leftie for you. The same with Richards Micro-Fit. You just need to decide what material and style you want.
