    Default Win 94 444.

    Anybody give me information on this cal. and gun. I just picked one up and I know nothing about it. Thanks.

    I have not seen a Winchester version of the 444, but a budy of mine has a 444 Marlin Big Bore. Real nice gun that will POUND deer, bear or elk at short/med short ranges......I'd say 100-150 yards or so. Real nice caliber. Just on that you do not see a lot.

    I have one. Mine's a straight-stocked "Walnut" model. I'm guessing it's a real hammer at moderate ranges. But, as yet, it remains unfired. Wish I could help you more.
