This Sunday marks the opening of Montana's State managed Wildlife Management areas. Many of these areas are prime winter range for deer and elk and therefore have lots of bone laying on the ground. They are a huge attraction for shed hunters - some begin at midnight on the 15th. I will be going again this year to my favorite spot - just hoping nobody has gotten in there illegally. Sometimes they do get hit early but there is no way to police it unfortunately. I've included a couple pictures from 2 years ago - what a great day! Wish me luck on scoring again this year. Here are a couple pics from 2 years ago.
