2005 Realtree Forum Shed Contest Final Results!!!!

Here are the final results of the 2005 Realtree Forum Shed Contest! I think the contest went especially well this year. It took a lot of work and crunching on my part, so I'm sorry about the lack of posts and the delay. I was just trying to keep everything straight. There were a total of 655 sheds entered, with 90 sets reported among those antlers. Way to go!! The winners will receive a custom banner to display on Realtree.com that I will be making shortly. Here is the official list, in order:

BONUSES: Gross mule deer (92 2/8" by Sasksheds) = +10

145 sheds/24 sets = 265 points

American Trapper and LDB - 129 sheds/19 sets = 224 points (no reports from American Trapper)
BONUS: Most scoreable points, mule deer (8 by LDB) = +10 points
Grand Total Points = 234

90 sheds/6 sets = 120 points
BONUSES: Most scoreable points, whitetail (9, by Steeleyes) = +10 points
Gross whitetail (107" by Steeleyes) = +10 points
Typical whitetail frame score (83 3/8" by Steeleyes) = +10 points
Grand Total Points = 150

Wow!! Congrats to everyone on their finds!! That's alot of sheds and more so,alot of quality time spent outdoors.
Every year I pull my hair looking for mates to sheds I've found.I search and research my areas,I expand my searches further out trying to cover anywhere those deer could go.
Looking at the number of sheds found and matched sets found from this contest.I'd say I'm not alone.
Out of 655 sheds found 180 sheds were from matched sets.That leaves roughly 475 singles still out there.
Where do they go??

Congrats to everyone on a great year! This was a good, fun contest. I would like to thank everyone for playing along and most importantly, I would like to thank Kansan for putting everything together and Saskbucks for the original idea of the competition.

Thanx a bunch Kansan.It was alot of fun.I still have the itch &amp; might still get out for the odd hike.i know there is still bone on the ground.I hope we didnt cause U to much work!Congrats to everyone on their finds &amp; good luck in the up coming seasons on harvesting one of those match sets!!

Congrats to everyone! Might have to jump in next year. Any chance we could expand the contest to include elk and possibly moose antlers next year? I spend more time looking for elk than deer although I stumble onto a few deer each year. Anyway, congrats again to the winners and everyone that participated.

Just to make things a little tighter between 1st and 2nd place, my 8-point muley shed was <u>not</u> the one with the most points ! Saskbucks managed to spot this 9-pointer before I did and should receive the bonus 10 points.
