Shed and Shrooms spring 05

found this pic tonight and had to share, this is a shed I found last spring while out looking for shrooms. I remember walking over a hill glanceing around at the ground then I looked up to see a beautiful side laying in a dry creek bed. This was my best antler of last year and it scored in right at 83 1/8. Doesn't quite look like it in the pic but the main beam curls all the way around and measures 28 2/8 inches, the rest of the measurements are g1 2 2/8, g2 12 6/8, g3 11, g4 6 3/8, h1 5, h2 4 3/8, h3 4 1/8, h4 3 7/8, and the one abnormal is 2 1/8. nice shead and morels you got there. do you eat the mushrooms ? if so what is your method for cooking ? i have looked for them and found some but never ate them.

Yumm....The way my mom cooks them is she frys them in these spices and indegridements......Yummm it sure is good.

fourtrax you have to try them, they are excellent. All I do is soak them in saltwater to get all the critters out then cut them in half and dip them in an egg milk mixture, then put cracker crumbs or flour on them and fry them up. you really cant beat a good batch or morels you have to try them.

If you miss a few while soaking you never notice when eating,a little crunchy is all.

nice shed, the only shrooms i know of anyone picking up around here are the ones the dope heads pick out of cow pastures that they eat to get high

I usually start looking for shrooms last part of April into the first part of May, all depends on the weather though
