I shot my brother's 835 today at 20 and 30 yards. Nothing special, just the stock turkey choke. I used Federal Premium Mag Shok 3" #5 shot. I shot it freehand, so it's not quite centerted the way I want it. I'll shoot it from a bench later. But, it gave me a decent idea of what the gun shoots like. Think it looks alright for density? I don't really want to put a tighter choke on it, but I think it will be ok.

    20 Yards

    30 Yards

It doesn't kick as bas as my 835, because the barrel is ported. But, I'll shoot it off a bench and sitting down a few times. Not too bad for shooting off-hand though, and I'm not the best at that. 90% of the time I pull it to the left when shooting off-hand, so that would explain the left hitting pattern.

As you can see, the gun shoots to the left. Both patterns are off. Keep that in mind when shooting at a bird. That is my main reason for patterning a gun. It will show my point of impact vs my point of aim.

I definately want to shoot it off a bench to see if it was me or the gun. The pattern was mighty impressive at 10 yards.

I didn't take a picture of it. I only had 1 shell left in that box and figured I'd see what it does at 10 yards. Looked like a softball went through the target.

Thats what I did with them chokes I tested. I shot into a big white piece of paper to see where the most of my shot pattern was hitting. Lucky for me both tubes were center. But CNC won!

But you can say, DEAD BIRD!!!!!

I shot at just a 3" dot yesterday. The pattern seemed to be more centered that what those pictures are. Once the ground drys up (it's like a swamp now, preparing for a big flood again, 2 years in a row), I'll be able to get out the bench and pattern in that way. I have a tendance to shoot to the left when shooting off-hand, so that might be my problem.
