Welcome to the forums SteelEye I have had, and still do, some double beaded barrels. I have always used both beads in align when shooting. The back one is inline with the front one. I still still don't know why there even is a back one For turkeys it must keep your barrel down is all I can figure out LOL.

Hey SteelEye, welcome to the forums.

The mid bead is used to give better alignment for better accuracy and to adjust the point of impact. If you make a figure eight 8 with the beads (front bead on top of mid bead) your pattern should be anywhere from a 60/40 to 80/20 at 40 yards. This means 60% of your pattern will be above your point of aim (POA), 40% below the POA. The latter is 80% above and 20% below. This allows the shooter to always keep their eye on the target. You won't have to block the target with the beads as it is streaking across the sky. Lock your eyes on the target and swing, when the beads pass the target tough the trigger.

You can adjust how high the point of impact (POI) by placing the beads together, as a figure 8, or a little daylight between them. This will allow "sighting in" the shotgun.

I suggest you spend some time at the range seeing where your POI is relative to your POA. Once you know that, you will know where to hold.

The rear bead should be below the front bead, it forms a figure 8.

If your gun throws a good, dense pattern, that is where I hold for turks.
