Default XFull Choke & Benelli Nova

I just bought a Bennelli Nova that I plan on using for turkey hunting in a few weeks. It came with 3 Benelli Chokes and my gun dealer gave me a 'Turkey XFull' choke. My question is the choke says 'Lead Shot Only' on the side. Will I have problems shooting the Remington Premier High Velocity Magnums I have? The reason I ask is the box says they are 'Copper Plated'. Thanks

I was confused with that at first too.. but Copper plated shot will not damage your lead only chokes

Strut Buster is correct. Copper plated shot will not damage your chokes. The same for nickel plated shot. The plating actually makes them more fluid through the constriction.

Thanks for the information. What about the Remington Hevi-Shot? Is that OK with a 'Lead Shot Only' choke?

I think so, but AJ will let us know. I asked the same question not too long ago. I believe that hevi-shot is more fluid than steel shot.

I use it with a lead shot only choke. While the stuff is harder than lead, it is fluid enough going through the chokes. I have shot it through a .640" tube with no damage.
