    Default Winchester 1300 Turkey

Maine is going to have a guarenteed turkey permit system starting next year. I would like to set up a turkey only gun for it. I am thinking the Universal Hunter Turkey would fit the bill. I do not want to spend alot, and this shotgun seems like it offers alot for the money. Anyone have one? Here is a link to it. Thanks for any opinions of it.

I've been working with a 1300 recently. It's a plain 1300 NWTF gun with a 28" barrel.... no fancy options or anything.......just a $250 gun. I'm using a XXX-Full Comp-N-Choke. It's turning in some very impressive patterns and it's pretty comfortable to shoot for a 3" magnum. I would definitely recommend the 1300 for a serious turkey gun.

Like Strut said, it is a good gun. It should fit the bill just fine.

I have two of them with 26" barrels and they pattern well and are light. Plus they are pretty comfortable to shoot(well as comfortable are a turkey gun can be).

Looks like a pretty nice piece.I have a 1300 and have no complaints about it.I've been hunting with mine for about six years and put it through some pretty tough use without any problems.

I went to a gun shop today to check them out, and they were out. They had a bunch of others there for me to look over though...So that made it fun.Guess i may have to order one...?
