Chokes or etc...

I shot gun hunt in Virginia where we hunt deer with dogs. I want a choke or something that will help me get good tight patterns so I can harvest the deer quick and ethically.

I take it you are using buckshot? Buckshot is common to those shooters of deer that use dogs to do the hunting. I have heard good things about the Wad Wizard Supreme choke tube. It throws some very decent patterns.

Just like turkey hunting, buckshot patterns are dependant on the gun/choke/load combination. What works in one may not work in another. Some recommend full chokes, some recommend light full, some like extra full. You will need to try a few and see what works best for you.

The best thing to remember is to limit the range you are shooting at deer. Buckshot is not a long range killing tool. Keep shots under 40 yards and you should be ok.
