    I don't have a load for rock salt, but just thought I'd point out...
    Rock salt is no-where near as heavy as lead, and with modern powders, changing the reactive forces of a shell load can create some extremely high pressures...BOOM...barrell gone! (...and maybe eyes and cheek)
    Unless someone posts a tried and proven method, and I'm sure that Realtree would not condone that, due to liabilities, I'd suggest you get a slingshot!

    We had a dog problem and loaded shells with rock salt and the dog problem ended after lighting their arses up a few times.
