Default A little surprising...

that Cheney didn't have the appropriate hunting license/stamp...
I guess what's even more surprising is that the media hasn't been pushing this little tidbit.

What is really suprising to me is: 1) A non-resident not knowing ALL the extra stamps (7.00) they need (I did not need one when I lived in Texas) and 2) the media is blowing this way out of proportion when there are worse things going on in the world than Mr. Cheneys accident....oh wait..Did I say (accident)??? I meant he tried to kill the man....

Then again the news agancy just wants words and not facts so they can be the first folks out with the news of the day...just tell us something happened and we will worry about the facts of the matter after we fill in all our other OWN details...right??? I hear more about this all day than I do anything else in the news.... the Cheney conspiracy 2006!!!! Stay tuned!!!!

Think the media has done about all they can with what they have. Seeing as how the victim himself, who also had no stamp, stood in front of the media and said it was an accident and as much his own fault as anyone elses, really think trying to push this any further would not gain the media anything.

The $7 stamp he didn't have is a new thing this year for Texas, his office(which purchased his license for him) didn't know about the new stamp. I went dove hunting a few years back without a HIP permit, guess that makes me a poacher(I went and bought one later).

right bowman. the stamp is very new, and so new that the stores didn't have any and no one knew that they needed one. even the locals. and, only a warning was issued, not a citation.
